2,368 Street Lights Repaired in South Jakarta

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency's Road and Public Facility (PJSU) Division Head Syamsul Bakhri stated that PJUs installation was carried out to support the SJUT project.

According to him, there are still many PJUs installed on power poles on the roadside. While for the SJUT project, all utility cables above ground should be moved to underground (manhole).

"That's why the PJU is being installed to support the project," he conveyed, Saturday (3/19).

He explained its installation was adjusted to standards that refer to Minister of Transportation Regulation (Permenhub) No. 27/2018 concerning Public Street Lighting Equipment which regulates the distance between poles, pole height, use of cables, and others.

"PJU poles have a height about 9-10 meters with the distance between poles of 30-40 meters. We have to calculate it to prevent blind spots between lights," he said.
